Queens Court History

In 1966 builders from Nassau Bay came together to develop and build a new type
of modern home that is now known as Queens Court.  The homes were built to
the Total Electric Gold Medallion Home specifications, in that they promoted the
concept of completely electric powered homes.   The Total Electric Gold Medallion
Home builders at that time were William J Harrington, Doyle Stuckey, and Walter
Pickett.  The Medallion Home builders were Charles Whynot, LJ Kreneck, Max
Turk, JR DeLay, EE Sembera, Bobby J Cochran, Keith Manroe, Charles Streusand,
JT Robinson, and Ernest W Roe.

Initial construction included 39 town homes.  The homes were designed as the
“homes of the future” featuring all General Electric equipment, all-electric kitchens,
electric central heating and air conditioning, and electric water heaters.
Originally Queens Court was to consist of 290 town home units, but only 64 were
completed.
